“And so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.”

1 Corinthians 14:25b

Our Worship

Our worship services provide a wonderful opportunity for Christians to meet together, praise God, and be edified in song, prayer, fellowship, communion, and teaching of God’s Holy and Divine Word. We always strive to worship the Lord from the heart and according to the Holy Scriptures (John 7:38).

Our worship assembly is designed after the pattern of the New Testament church, following the command of Jesus, to worship God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24).

singing

Throughout the worship service, we lift up our voices in songs of praise and thanksgiving. Our singing is congregational and a cappella. Our desire is to sing with the spirit and the understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15).

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,” (Ephesians 5:19).

Teaching

As the Word of God is taught, we encourage you to follow along in the Bible. According to the Lord’s instruction, all teaching is conducted by male members of the church in an orderly manner (1 Corinthians 14:34-35 & 1 Timothy 2:11-12). We pray that you will find the teaching edifying and doctrinally sound as the teacher attempts to speak the truth in love (Titus 2:1 & Ephesians 4:15-16).

Should you have any questions or comments about the teaching, we would be happy to hear from you after the conclusion of the worship service. We also encourage you to search the Scriptures in order to verify the truth of the teaching (Acts 17:11).

Praying

During each worship service, you may hear multiple prayers offered to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). It is our fervent desire, to pray with the spirit and the understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15), to pray for wisdom, counsel, and guidance from above (James 1:5), making our requests and needs known to God, while thanking Him for His many bountiful blessings (Philippians 4:6 & 1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Communing

Each Sunday morning service includes The Lord’s Supper, the Communion of the body and blood of Christ (1 Corinthians 10:16). As His disciples, we remember the death of our Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim His death during this act of weekly worship (1 Corinthians 11:23-26 & Acts 20:7).

In accordance with the scriptural pattern, a man takes one loaf of unleavened bread, gives thanks and blesses it, breaks off a piece, and then passes the loaf to the rest of the congregation so that each member may partake by breaking off a piece. In a likewise manner, he takes the cup containing the fruit of the vine (grape juice), gives thanks and blesses it, takes a drink and passes it to the rest of the congregation to drink, so that they all may drink (Mark 14:23).

“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ Likewise, He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the covenant in My blood, which is shed for you’” (Luke 22:19-20).

Giving

Following the example of Jesus, as Christians, we give. During each Sunday morning service, an offering is accepted and, in keeping with the theme of the Gospel, we give cheerfully and purposefully (2 Corinthians 9:7 & Acts 20:35).

A collection basket is passed around for the convenience of church members who contribute financially for the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the assistance of needy Christians (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).
